In October 2001, former chair Ming-Gong Lee proposed the idea to
establish the applied statistics Laboratory. In December 2001,
professor Chi Lo proposed the project and this project was approved
in September 2002. The university offered NT$ 800,000 to buy
statistical software and computer equipments. Therefore, the applied
statistics Laboratory was established in April 2003.
